Challenge Cup 2009 - 2010
HOLDER: Norman Wright - "Bradford Park Rangers"
Blues fan, Norman won the Cup last season , defeating Barnstoneworth United in the Final 35 - 33.
To make the season complete we continue to, for that added excitement, include the "Association Challenge Cup", the main cup competition, to run alongside the normal League.
1st Round Results
(Week 14 - W/C 9th December 2009)
Well! Shock! Horror! Cup holder Norman Wright is out, losing 15 - 17 to grandson Josh Wright, just as yours truly went out in the first round last year after winning the Cup the previous season. Well done Josh!
Last Years' runner-up however, Derek Cobley, reaches the second round after defeating Tim Martin 26 - 13.
In the tie I had selected as tie of the round, the all-premier clash
saw newly promoted Wayne Waterhouse overcome Pete Tonks 30 - 25.
